Art Classes

Creation Station

Bluffton \artisan Dawn Duff teaches these adult workshops. They are held on Wednesdays at Creation Station, Cordillo Parkway, off of Pope Avenue. Please call Beth at (843) 842-5738 to register at least one week prior to the class. Feb. 13, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. - Mosaics 101 - Learn Mosaic Basics and create a handsome frame using tiles and chards. $40.

Feb. 20, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. - Mosaic Table Top - Bring your own tired little table or use one of ours to create a whimsical piece for your home. $50.

March 6, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. - Silk Painting 101 - For beginners to learn silk painting basics by painting a beautiful pre-gutta throw pillow cover. $40.


Kid's Classes:

The following workshops will be held on days off, half days and vacations. Duff will teach children age 6 and over. Pre-registration a week prior to the class is required; call Beth at Creation Station, (843( 842 5738. Cost is $12. per child.

Feb. 6, 1:30-3:30 p.m. - Backpack Danglers and Keychains from Plaster and Polymer Clay.

Feb. 18, 1:30-3:30 p.m. - Tie Dye Whatever!


Creativity Club Workshops at The Live Oak Emporium Southern Artisans Center

Bluffton Artisan Dawn Duff will now be holding the Creativity Club Workshops at the Live Oak Emporium in its new location at 1111 Boundary St., Beaufort, which is right across the street from the Boys & Girls Club. All workshops will be held on Tuesdays from 10 a.m.-1 p.m.. Pre-registration and a materials deposit is required one week prior to the class. Please call Patricia at (8430 770-0102 to register or stop by the shop.

Feb. 5, 10 a.m.-1 p.m. - Mosaics 101 - a 9x7 frame will be your one-of-a-kind creation giving you the basic tricks of how to create a mosaic tile piece. All tiles are ceramic and you will be offered an array of colors. Learn mosaic basics and create a handsome frame using tiles and shards. Please register by Jan. 29. The total fee for the class is $32, with a $19 deposit.


Creativity Club to Artware in Main Street Village.

All workshops require registration one week prior to the class to allow for materials to be ordered. The materials fee is due at registration and the workshop fee due at the time of the class. Call Dawn at (843) 757-6156 with questions and to register.

CITY OF SAVANNAH

The Department of Cultural Affairs begins a new series of classes the week of Jan. 28. From a variety of pottery classes, to stained glass to mixed media workshops, the offerings are available for all ages and all skill levels.

A workshop based upon the popular "The Artist's Way" will be presented by author, artist and playwright Linda Bulloch for 13 weeks beginning Jan 28, from 6-8 p.m., at SPACE.

THE ART SCHOOL

A new season of art instruction is beginning at The Art School. Class sizes are limited: Instruction is structured but not so rigid that creative expression is hindered. Classes at The Art School, 320 E. Montgomery Crossroad, Suite 6, will be held weekly and students may enroll at any time as long as space is available. B. FRAME DESIGN

Faux finishing and decorative painting workshops the first Friday and Saturday of each month. Students will learn several faux finish techniques, including marbling, leather, sky and clouds, crackles and various glazing effects. Classes at the 108 Shipyard Road studio are from 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. both days. $295 fee includes materials and lunch both days. Call 354-0287 to register or for more information.


GLYNN ART ASSOCIATION
