The stars come out for Hilton Head Art League
The Hilton Head Art League will present the "All Stars Showcase" at their newly expanded gallery in Pineland Station June 12-July 21.
A large collection of work by mostly local Art League artists will include oils, watercolors, acrylics, photography, collages, pastels, ceramics, woodturnings, sculpture, note cards, prints, giclee prints and much more. Price points range from a few dollars for note cards to several thousands for outstanding original art. You may expect to find paintings by Charles Gruppe, Doris Shay, Doreen Prince, Tom Ratliffe, Martha Worthy, Terry Brennan, Joyce Thompson and Billie De la Penha and prints by Jack Williamson and Candace Lovely. The work of more than 100 artists will be on exhibit and available for purchase. A number of the artists represented were recent award winners in the national juried show at the Greer Gallery and are known nationally and internationally.
The gallery is located in suite 207 at Pineland Station and is open Monday- Saturday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. There will be a reception at the start of the All Stars Showcase on June 12 from 5-7 p.m. at the gallery. The public is invited. It's an opportunity to meet many of the artists and discuss their work.
On June 1, the Art League will hold its annual Sidewalk Sale. Artists will be present to display their work in the courtyard outside the gallery in Pineland Station from 10 a.m.- 4 p.m. For further information, call (843) 681-5060.
