Gather up your vintage Steiff Teddy bears and yard sale oil paintings - the Roadshow is comin' to town!

You may have gold in the attic and the experts of Emmy-nominated Antiques Roadshow can help you find it. PBS's top-rated primetime series has announced its summer 2003 Tour destinations and Savannah is its first stop.

Other cities include Chicago, Oklahoma City and San Francisco.

Antiques Roadshow features a series of local events at which top appraisers reveal the history and value of America's "hidden treasures." This year, Roadshow will embark on its eighth summer tour across the country, offering the public free evaluations of objects about which they are curious. The most interesting finds from each city will be taped for broadcast in 2004.

Antiques Roadshow Savannah's taping will be held on July 12 at the Savannah International Trade & Convention Center.

Ticket holders are invited to bring two items for a free verbal evaluation by experts from the world,s leading auction houses - including Christie's, Doyle New York, Skinner and Sotheby's - and by independent appraisers and dealers.

Over 9 million viewers see the series each week and last summer, Roadshow drew more than 30,000 participants on its cross-country tour. Along the way, Antiques Roadshow uncovered a wealth of amazing finds, including an extremely rare Tang Dynasty statue with an insurance value of $250,000, a Mexican-American War commemorative sword estimated to be worth $200,000 and a set of 19th-century furniture valued at $100,000-$150,000.
