The Ritz Theatre Re-Opening Celebration, featuring music, theatre, dance and more at the newly renovated theatre, 1530 Newcastle St., Brunswick, Ga., is Sept. 22-29. Included in the events are:

Sept. 22, An Evening of Dance: Performers from Studio South, Jill Stanford Dance Center and Southern Strut Dance Studio. The performance will begin at 7:30 p.m.

Sept. 24, Celebrate the Ritz: The Coastal Symphony of Georgia. The opening concert of the symphony's 19th season corresponds with the re-opening celebration of the Ritz Theatre. 8 p.m. Season tickets: Adult $50, Students $20. Sept. 27, Young Playwright Award Productions: 2001 Eugenia Price/Joyce Blackburn Foundation winners feature three performances from the YPA - The Betrayal, MidEVIL and Ally's Anguish. 7 p.m. at the Ritz Theatre. Sept. 27, Centennial of the First Flight, A Celebration in the Making: Robert Cooper has applied all the skills accumulated in a lifetime to create a replica in the finest detail of the Wright Brothers' 1903 "Flyer" as he begins the second year of the three-year project. The airplane he is bringing into existence in his workshop in Savannah will become part of the national centennial celebration of the birth of flight by man. Cooper's multi-media presentation promises to delight and re-amaze us at this 20th Century accomplishment.
